From Patrice Leconte's 1996 masterpiece, Ridicule, the final mask ball scene when Ponceludon (Charles Berling) was tripped, ridiculed, and yet turned the table around with a powerful speech that indicts all around who subscribe to that system of courtly chicanery and rule of the "wit," revealing its callousness, cruelty, and essential hollowness. This speech is so sincere and potent that to me it really unmasks this cruel system as becoming essentially its very own ridicule. Madam de Blayac's (the wonderful Fanny Ardant) facial expression was just perfect in revealing that despairing hollowness and sadness beneath the pomp and fearsome exterior of sharp biting wit. With entrancing music, silly French dance, and of course Berling's perfect delivery of that powerful potent speech, this is one of my favourite moments of the movie and I found it profoundly moving... "You envy Voltaire's wit. He would have wept... He was ridiculously compassionate..." Ridicule is a true gem. Besides the awesome Berling and Ardent, Jean Rochefort was also superb, as always, as the Marquis de Bellegarde... wonderful actor. Obviously I don't own any of this clip... it's my first experiment with videos.

This is pure black metal from Norway. This band does it perfectly. They arent as known as burzum, mayhem, gorgoroth, but they should. All their record are breath-taking. Especially Mardraum/Beyond the Within that I unfortunately dont own. Watch out with this band that will make your ears bleed. Album: Below The Lights (2003). The first EMTs (I called) ignore me and refuse me care; cops ridicule me, they also refuse badge numbers, ignore legitimate harassment complaint #s, let my nasty neighbors participate in the ridicule, and more... When the cops ask, "Who called a bus?" I said, "I did." explained, Myasthenia Gravis, the EMTs ignore me and go into 1F. They claimed the grandmother was having heart problems (see nasty neighbor videos). The Police Officers continue to refuse me medical care, to mimic and ridicule me, saying such things as MG is a "brain disease." It's worse.

This is Video 6 - The next set of EMTs (FDNY EMT) don't know what Myasthenia Gravis is either, and are also in no rush to provide me Emergency Medical Care. The 49th Precinct Bronx cops still refuse me medical care, continue ridiculing me, and continue to ignore legitimate harassment complaints, allowing 1F to participate & photograph me. It's worse... Please watch these in #order. It's not over yet...see abuse video #7 After years of appreciating the emergency services, I am traumatized! This can not happen again...these professionals may kill a disabled person, expecially a Myasthenic. To all of the dedicated emergency workers out there, I wish you had been here and I am sure you agree...this should not happen again! June is MG awareness month!
I was exhibiting exacerbated symptoms of MG, officers ignored my need for help so I called an ambulance. I went to the officers was pushed and fell again, was kicked, handcuffed because I couldn't get up at their request; I continue to request medical attention, repeatedly state the name of my disease - and am trying to explain the harassment & threats I endure from 1F, as the cops let them join in ridicule and worse... This is not the best dvd transfer....
