The Qirat'ul Qur'an Competition 2008 is the 10th annual qira'at competition hosted by McMaster University Muslim Students Association with the sole purpose of glorifying the Holy Qur'an. QQC 2008 will be held in a Hamilton downtown theatre and promises multi-level competitions, over 50 competitors, a vibrant food and bazaar area, and hundreds in audience and volunteers. There will be two aspects to the competition this year. The juniors competition will be composed of various Islamic schools that compete to have the best tajweed. Children attending Islamic Schools are encouraged to come to the Qirat'ul Qur'an Competition. This event regularly draws several Islamic School students from a variety of different Islamic School programs. Come attend this year's Qirat'ul Qur'an Competition, and experience what these students have been learning! The Seniors competition caters more to university students and involves 7 MSAs competing to have the best tajweed and memorization skills. This part of the competition provides one of the best recitation exhibitations inshAllah from brothers at the following universities: McMaster, University of Toronto - St. George, University of Toronto - Mississauga, University of Toronto - Scarborough, Ryerson, York and Western. "Masha-allah, a great recitation for reporting a great incident that occured during the life of the prophet (SAW)." Sheikh Mustafa Ismail (rahimahullah)[1905-1978]. Born in Mît Ghazâl, a village near Tanta (north of Cairo), Shaykh Mustafâ learned the Qur'ân, and about the age of fifteen or sixteen he went to study at the Azhari institute in Tanta. This is my personal fav Sheikh Mustafa Ismail recitation..one of the best recitations i've ever heard.

This is the one of the video of a Qari Nadeem Khan whose voice is like the voice of the Qari of Kabba Shiekh Abdur Rahman Sudais and Ahmaed bin Ali Al Ajmi etc. and his way of calling Azan (Adhan) is same like what we heared in Masjid-e-Haram Makkah and in an islamic way of learning.

Qirat In The Voice Of Qari Saad Nomani Part-1

Qari Saad Nomani, also known as Sheikh Muhammad Saad Nomani Madani s/o Shahid Khalil Nomani (الشيخ محمد سعد نعماني المدني بن شاهد خليل نعماني), is a reciter of the Qur'ān who is known for his imitations of various reciters, or qaris, of the world. A qari is one who recites verses or chapters from the Qur'ān in a rhythmic manner under strict rules of articulation and recitation. Nomani has the ability to imitate more than 75 qaris and imams including the imams of the two Holy Mosques of the Muslim world in Makkah and Madinah. Among his tutors are Sheikh Shafiq, Sheikh Muhammad Ayub (ex-guest Imam of Al-Masjid al-Nabawi), Sheikh Bilal Ahmad and Sheikh Muhammad Khalil (Imam of Masjid-e-Quba) Madinah Munawwarah. He is of Pakistani descent and was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Later, he migrated to Jeddah and then to Madinah. Currently he is in (Karachi) Pakistan . He has completed his M.A. in Islamic Studies from Darululoom Karachi under the aegis of Justice (retired) Sheikh Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani. He is from the progeny of Imam Abu Hanifah, one of the four Imams of Ahlussunnah waljama'ah, and is the 26th in the generation. Abu Hanifah R.A.'s real name was Noman (Numan) hence the surname of Nomani / Numani. Recently he was invited to England where he performed the Qira'at (recitation of the Qur'ān) in certain mosques of Bolton and London. Often his voice is broadcasted on major Islamic radio stations in different parts of the world.
