Occam's philosophy does not deal with truth or reality, only with man's failure to know the unknown. Your engineering example is, in fact, the antithesis of your presumption. More points of failure are introduced with complexity, but in order to improve a thing to increase performance and efficiency, it does not get simpler, it gets more complex.

If you see a man with a cat, does he secretly love the cat physically every night because demons tell him to in his sleep, or does he just have a pet cat? It also applies very well to engineering, the more complicated the machine the less likely it will work.

Christianity ENDORSES bigotry against anything considered "non-christian". It's so damn sad, and i feel so bad for that girl. Because if God exists according to what the Bible says, he's a fucking maniac and shouldn't be in charge of anything! My skepitcal mind later developed and with that, I pretty much ruled out anything supernatural, including God.
