"This is disgusting!! I understand people views against abortion but when a girl being raped by her father wants an abortion, no one has the right to say anything because they don't understand what she is going through."
Yes, this woman is a moron. One of the many reasons I voted for Obama was her answers in these interviews.
If I had any reservations about it, they were completely nullified when she made the "Fruitfly Research" comment.
Thank Deus that we elected Obama.

"A trained chimp can do everything that an infant can, and more."
Why is this part of the discussion?
"Why is an infant more valuble than a chimp?"
So would you approve of a chimp having an abortion? By your logic it will never be a "person".
"An infant will develop into a person, a chimp will not."
Define "Person", because I've met chimps who are Morally superior, and have better manners than many humans. They are capable of abstract thought, art, etc.
"I'm also not religious"
I am.

"My point was that we ascribe rights to children based on qualities that are undeveloped. Therefore, it is logical to start life at the beginning of the process."
Creation of sperm and ova?
I honestly see no difference between separate sperm and ova, and a combined set without a heartbeat or a brain.
After which, I would agree with you.
My disagreement is simply a three month window.

This is disgusting!! I understand people views against abortion but when a girl being raped by her father wants an abortion, no one has the right to say anything because they don't understand what she is going through.
Also, abortion is a free choice. The government can't control that choice because a government is designed by the people to work for the people not to control them.

As a man, I tend to refrain from discussions of abortion, as I do not have the necessary equipment to have one, however when I see someone hysterically, and not rationally thinking about this issue, I feel the need to intervene.
It is my opinion that an abortion is a horrible thing, but that also the necessity to have one has been long thought out by the woman, and she doesn't feel any better about it than you.
In my opinion, you should have a three month window before heart cells develop.

"Do you think perhaps your anger at cultural attitudes is clouding your judgement?"
I would suggest you ask the same question of yourself. After all, you're making quite forceful statements, and when a flaw is pointed out, you say "I dont care what the medical community defines as life beginning!"

"If you insist on defining "sexual act" and "rape" to mean forcing a woman to carry a child, then fine. I advocate "rape"."
I'm fairly sure you weren't responding to me, but that comment is somewhat indicative of you not proceeding through this in a rational matter."
""The point is, the DNA that makes up the person is created at conception"
No the point is you made a remark about DNA, and you were wrong. Every time a man shoots, he's effectively killing the lifegiving DNA of 50 million or so.

"One could theoretically make the argument that human life doesn't begin until after a sense of morality developes, "
Sure, if you just decide to stick the word Human in there, in which you're taking it to an abstract extreme. Something isn't technically "alive" unless it has a heartbeat and brain activity, by definition.
"because morality is what separates us from other animals. "
Um, no. Any socially defendant animal has a sense of morality. Humans are not morally superior in many cases.

Why is it not the case? I never used God in any response to you. Belief in God is not part of my position.[my universe comment was meant to be sarcastic]
If you insist on defining "sexual act" and "rape" to mean forcing a woman to carry a child, then fine. I advocate "rape".
What is this obsession with women being chattel? If men could carry children I'd feel the same way. Do you think perhaps your anger at cultural attitudes is clouding your judgement?

"The point is, the DNA that makes up the person is created at conception. Conception is when the developement process begins."
Development, but technically not life.
I fail to see the difference between a 2 month old fetus and an absorbed twin.
"I don't care when the medical community defines life to begin."
Obviously. It stems from religiosity, mostly.

I don't care when the medical community defines life to begin. One could theoretically make the argument that human life doesn't begin until after a sense of morality developes, because morality is what separates us from other animals. (Yes, animals may have a primitive sense of morality.)

No, I stated that I would support a girlfriend having an abortion, remember? You praised me for it.
I showed you that rape was far worse than pregnancy with an example of what it caused (nightmares vs fetus jokes). Thus rape and forced pregnancy aren't equivalent.
Oh yes. I meant to say anti-choice equals nazism. Yeah, you just stopped contesting that point when I pointed out the Nazis hadn't actually done what you said. Their sin was kidnapping.
You know, our preferred term is pro-life.

Ytaker,
What you have done, is list the points in which your literacy suffers.
I didn't need to prove that you want to control women, you stated such.
I didn't need to prove that sex and pregnancy were the same... you stipulated to that in your initial attempt to evade the obvious paradox, and landed squarely in the alternative paradox.
My argument never claimed that Pro-Choice equals Nazism, quite the reverse.
My statement was
Anti-Choice is Pro-Rape

Just for you, I'm gonna go back and list debating points you lost.
You didn't prove that pregnancy was sex.
You didn't show that pregnancy was worse or even similar to rape.
You didn't prove that I or the female debater here want to control women.
Your "prochoicers are Nazis" argument fizzled and died.
That children are made children by their mother, not by inherant humanness.
That apologetics forces her sexual agenda on women.
That the baby can't be forcefully killed.
