January 7th, 2009 at 20:34:38 Did Lennon ever produce a record? Can't compare him to Jeff Lynne then.
January 7th, 2009 at 20:57:37 Well backdoordyke, just reading your name gave me a hard as steel boner lol
January 7th, 2009 at 21:20:36 Remember,Lynne is underrated. There were reasons why he did not attain superstardom like Lennon. One was that he kept his politics out of his music and public life. Lennon became a political figure and attracted tons of attention from it.
January 7th, 2009 at 21:43:35 As a single talent Jeff Lynne was way ahead of Lennon.
January 7th, 2009 at 22:06:34 It's true that ELO was inspired by the Beatles (especially the "Sergeant Pepper's" and "Abby Lane" album). Jeff Lynne will tell you that. But listen to the lyrics and orchestral backing of songs such as "Mr. Blue Sky", "Last Train To London", "Turn To Stone", "Twilight", "Confusion", and "Evil Woman". Then tell me that Jeff Lynne wasn't talented! He wrote and composed all of those songs and more! Those are phenomenal songs and "Mr. Blue Sky" (in my opinion) is one of the 10 greatest songs ever!
January 7th, 2009 at 22:29:33 OK, IndioFreak, let's not go overboard with your admiration of John Lennon. Lennon was great, don't get me wrong, and I have his "Double Fantasy" album in my collection: one of the greatest albums of all-time. However, it's my opinion, just an opinion, that Jeff Lynne has had just as large of an impact as Lennon on music. He has been behind the scenes producing on Roy Orbison's final album, George Harrison's "Cloud 9" album, and several other big hit albums of the 80's and 90's.(Continued above)
January 7th, 2009 at 22:52:32 OK, let's not go over the board here. ELO have a lengthy, respectable career in pop music, we all have some of their tunes in our heads but that's it. Watch out. You may like this or not but J Lynne is -and will never be- no Lennon. Not even with the Wilburys in his CV.
January 7th, 2009 at 23:15:31 Haha, I'm glad someone else mentioned the Rock n Roll Express, I didn't want to be the only one!
January 7th, 2009 at 23:38:30 ROCK&ROLL Is King Is One Of The Best ELO Songs Ever.. Rock And Roll, Forever!! This Song Was Also The Entrance Theme For The Rock&Roll Express!!!
January 8th, 2009 at 00:01:29 I don't like Rock'n'Roll, but this song is very good.
January 8th, 2009 at 00:24:28 This song rules. It's impossible to be in a bad mood while listening to it.
January 8th, 2009 at 00:47:27 I love those upskirt shots! If I had a dick it would be hard as steel now!
January 8th, 2009 at 01:10:26 rock and roll is king! Long live rock and roll
January 8th, 2009 at 01:33:25 I hear ya!..LOL
January 8th, 2009 at 01:56:24 I can and do!
January 8th, 2009 at 02:19:23 Jeff Lynne & ELO proved in this song that they still had that incredible chemistry they had in the 70's. I turn this song up everytime I hear it in my car or on my computer! Jeff Lynne & ELO deserve to go to the Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland, OH for such fine songs as this! They made a huge impact on the music world in the 70's and 80's. You don't hear music like this anymore and it's a damn shame too!!! Music has become assimilated into a bunch of rap crap and hip hop garbage today!!!
January 8th, 2009 at 02:42:22 I could listen to this over and over again! Thank you ELO!!
January 8th, 2009 at 03:05:21 jagadi,jadi,jagadi.......... SIMPLE ROCK&ROLL IS KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING

January 8th, 2009 at 03:51:19 Wikipedia have a large amount of info on ELO and their songs, check it out
January 8th, 2009 at 04:14:18 That's cool, Finn. I've never heard that before!
January 8th, 2009 at 04:37:17 Richard Tandy was at the very beginning of ELO the bass player in 1972. After Roy Wood left the band the same year Tandy became the amazing keyboard player of ELO. Though he has played guitar later in some ELO- songs in recording sessions
January 8th, 2009 at 05:00:16 i just love this song! it's the best haha
