Comments to “Catherine Wheel - Black Metallic”

January 7th, 2009 at 14:52:17 Excellent song. It bugs when they re edit album versions. That bit at 3.08 onwards is the best part of the song.
January 7th, 2009 at 15:15:16 Unfortunately, bands nowadays tend to 'sell-out,' no matter what their original vision was. A rare exception is Radiohead, and even they have the fifty million single versions, etc etc. Even the Catherine Wheel succumbed to this pressure, though they got out two great albums first at least.
January 7th, 2009 at 15:38:15 I cannot believe this song is that old now.... Love it!!
January 7th, 2009 at 16:01:14 really incredible song.
January 7th, 2009 at 16:24:13 Yeah, its that funny 90s art vid stuff. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
January 7th, 2009 at 16:47:12 Its the color of your skin......your skin in black metallic.....
January 7th, 2009 at 17:10:11 It was almost 17 years ago that this came out. Brings back some fond memories for sure. It was an interesting time when modern rock was becoming "alternative", and the stuff was all new. Now, "alternative" bands seem to all want to rip off disco and sonic youth. Disco sucked the first time around, and well, leave sonic youth alone. Kids these days don't have a new music to turn to. Well, not unless it's played in local basements. This song was at the forefront of a HUGE movement in music.

January 7th, 2009 at 17:56:09 Don´t know what he´s saying (my english isn´t good) but I feel a cold beauty touch in this song.
January 7th, 2009 at 18:19:08 Maybe it's just me, but I think the lead singer (Rob Dickinson) kind of resembles Ian Curtis of Joy Division. Anyone else out there agree?
January 7th, 2009 at 18:42:07 One of the greatest alternative rock songs of all time... easily.
January 7th, 2009 at 19:05:06 The video almost ruins the song for me. Pure shit.

January 7th, 2009 at 20:37:02 I know exactly what you mean with 3eb- Jumper. I always thought they took a little from Black Metallic to write that song.
January 7th, 2009 at 21:00:01 It only makes sense since his cousine is Bruce Dickinson, the singer of Iron Maiden.
January 7th, 2009 at 21:23:00 AWESOME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!
January 7th, 2009 at 21:45:59 I think ThirdEyeBlind's Jumper was influenced by this song. Maybe just a coincidence.... Dickinson reminds me of Kris Kattan [sp] from SNL... One of the best voices in rock history.
January 7th, 2009 at 22:08:58 Badass song!
January 7th, 2009 at 22:31:57 This song is a time capsule for me. It's been a long time since I opened it. Memories are flooding.
January 7th, 2009 at 22:54:56 Rob Dickinson has one of the greatest rock voices of all time!
