January 7th, 2009 at 21:09:37 I have listened to this song 5-6 times a day for about a week now..
January 7th, 2009 at 21:32:36 Absolutely marvelous...♫

January 7th, 2009 at 23:04:32 from 5:01
January 7th, 2009 at 23:27:31 Well the whole Brain album had a certain concept, but yea musically this is very similar to Desert on the Moon.
January 8th, 2009 at 23:50:30 You guys are ridiculous...
January 8th, 2009 at 00:13:29 poesía pal oído
January 8th, 2009 at 00:36:28 yeah i agree with you in one thing. its a matter of opinion. and thats the beauty of how subjective music is. thats the only reality about it. you have your reasons why you consider other musicians top, and i have my reasons why i consider hiromi and her musicians top. among others of course.
January 8th, 2009 at 00:59:27 whatever dude. no need to spam me out.this is just my opinion man. and i dont beleive hiromi is one of the worlds best. that is ALSO a matter of opinion. i love hiromi, but do i beleive shes a living legend? no.
January 8th, 2009 at 01:22:26 oh yeah lets be real. lets compare the worlds best musicians and lets be real in that. come on...
January 8th, 2009 at 01:45:25 and also alot of her appeal is SEX appeal. i mean just read half the comments on here, shes a young hot japanese girl playing the piano really fast and she totally flirts with the audience. and thats OKAY i love her for it, but lets be real. if she was a homely old japanese man, people would still LIKE the music, because its good no doubt, but would people be saying he's the reinicarnation of Oscar Peterson? i mean lets be forreal. you cant even listen to OP and sincerly make that comparison. imo
January 8th, 2009 at 02:08:24 but see, she's obviously influenced by more than just jazz, which doesnt JUST put her in the tradition of jazz. of course its jazz fusion, but is a direct musical descendent of oscar peterson. no. personally i think oscar petersons early stuff is on a level way above this, so is errol garners. i just dont think her SOUND is as original as oscar petersons was a the time. i mean if you JUST heard SPIRAL without seeing her face, itd sound like the sound track to the weather channel. imho
January 8th, 2009 at 02:31:23 Let's just call it modern music. Jazz has come a long way since Oscar Peterson :) Not that Peterson's jazz doesn't stand; Hiromi's just taken jazz and brought it to crazy heights + infused it with all sorts of other good stuff. I'd classify it as Jazz Fusion.
January 8th, 2009 at 02:54:22 24-F-NY-single - MSG me on M.S.N. ID is in my profile. im naked atm j3
January 8th, 2009 at 03:17:21 haha! that was cute. :)
January 8th, 2009 at 03:40:20 This sounds a hell lot like Desert on the Moon. Just a bit more subdued, and with some other themes in between. Not surprising though, every musician has certain themes that repeat throughout most of their music :)
January 8th, 2009 at 04:03:19 I thought I'd pickup piano just for fun. But after seeing THAT, I think I've now changed my mind to playing the triangle instead.
January 8th, 2009 at 04:26:18 Oh well, what can I say about Hiromi that hasnt been said! They are all great. And what is great aswell, that add's to the quality of the trio, is the way they know each other. And this is jazz where spontaneity is at its peak...!
January 8th, 2009 at 04:49:17 It's hard to believe the dumb comments about this phenomenal pianist - it's a given, that if Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum, or, indeed, any of the great players heard Hiromi, there isn't a doubt in the world that they would all agree that she is a phenomenally gifted pianist of the first order, and it doesn't matter a damn whether you or I or anyone tries the comparisons or to put her in a category - let's just appreciate that fate has put her on the same planet as the rest of us.
January 8th, 2009 at 05:12:16 Seriously! I read up on Hiromi, and that's how she grew to met Chick Corea. Her instructor knew Chick, and she wanted to meet him. They talked, and of course he asked if she could play, and right then and there they jammed together, and it was so hot that he invited her to play as the final act of his show. They rolled out a second piano and he said "come up here"! So yeah, anyone who doesn't think she can't just sit and spin with the best of them, is off their rocker.
January 8th, 2009 at 05:35:15 Perfect name for this song.
January 8th, 2009 at 05:58:14 Um she only plays HER music at her shows though...so thats not really what he's talking about. i partially agree with your point about her playing with a group of musicians, i mean, number one, how do anyone of us really know that lol. number two im sure she can. but his point still stands, that her music sounds more like prog rock than it does jazz. she sounds more like the bad plus than the oscar peterson trio. lets be forreal guys
January 8th, 2009 at 06:21:13 muito bom!!!!!!!!!!
